Rohm's new BD9P series of twelve primary DC/DC converters for automotive applications enable ultrafast operation at 2.2 MHz that will not interfere with the AM frequency band (1.84 MHz maximum) while achieving a high step-down ratio. The components are available in VQFN20FV4040 housing with the dimensions 4.0 x 4.0 x 1.0 mm and in HTSSOP-B20 housing with the dimensions 6.5 x 6.4 x 1.0 mm and offer a switching frequency of 2.2 MHz. Voltages of 3.5 to 40 V are required. The DC/DC converter delivers output voltages between 0.8 and 8.5 V, depending on the version. The maximum output current is 1.0 or 2.0A. The BD9P series works in a temperature range from -40 to +125 °C and is optimized for ADAS sensors, cameras, radar systems, vehicle infotainment and combi-instruments.
