Zusammenfassung

Prosoziales Handeln steht in engem Zusammenhang mit Kommunikation, auch und vor allem im Gesundheitsbereich. Zum einen kann prosoziales Handeln, wie beispielsweise das Spenden von Blut oder Organen, als das Ziel persuasiver Kommunikation beschrieben werden. Zum anderen ist soziale Unterstützung bei gesundheitlichen Problemen ein Akt prosozialen Handelns, bei dem die medienvermittelte Kommunikation spezifische Vorteile bietet. Prosoziale Handlungen können darüber hinaus sowohl für Benefizianten derselben als auch für die handelnden Akteure gesundheitliche Konsequenzen haben.
