Requirements for battery housings in e-vehicles are extensive: regulatory requirements; functional requirements; consideration of the installation conditions, transformation of forces and torques into the vehicle structure as well as wishes and demands of the end customer for trouble-free operation under a wide variety of climatic conditions.Space and weights are scarce resources in electric vehicles; this means lightweight construction and multifunctionality are stringent requirements for all functional units.
