Abstract

For achieving the purpose of this study, the conceptual framework is constructed to describe the relationships among entrepreneurship development, social innovation, socio-cultural changes, and disaster risk management toward sustainable regional development. The following hypotheses are set for verification: “Social and cultural changes through the development of entrepreneurship is necessary for the sustainable regional development (H1)”; “Social capital is important for the development of entrepreneurship, however there is a big gap among different social groups (H1-1)”; “CIG is an effective approach to empower women through socio-political transformation (H2)”; “Farmers’ performance in disaster risk management at community level is determined by their socio-economic attributes, social capital, and access to local institutions (H3)”. Both qualitative (Trajectory Equifinality Modeling) and quantitative (Structural Equation Modeling) analytical approaches are applied to verify the hypotheses in this study.
