Research on Controlling Method of Welding Temperature of PE Electrofusion Pipe Fittings Based on Simulation of Temperature Field

Abstract

With the focus on the welding of PE electrofusion pipe fittings, this paper proposes a concept of optimal control of temperature characteristics during melt welding. The finite element software is used to establish the simulation of the temperature field of PE electrofusion pipe fittings. Through simulation, the relationship between different supply voltages, the rate at which the temperature rises, and the extent of the melting zone under the condition of fixed duration is analyzed. Aiming at rapidly increasing temperature and maintaining reasonable melting temperature threshold, this paper proposes the strategy for controlling supply voltage output which can achieve optimal temperature-related characteristics. In addition, this paper develops a practical method for implementing temperature control of field welding.
