Abstract

This chapter showcases the wide-ranging array of international entrepreneurship research published in Journal of International Business Studies. I highlight conversations about international entrepreneurship in the journal, organized around four major themes of research that have emerged from the 1990s: (a) factors enabling internationalization under resource constraints; (b) network relationships and entrepreneurial internationalization; (c) entrepreneurial processes and practices underlying internationalization; and (d) how entrepreneurship varies internationally. At the end of the chapter, I outline some ideas for future research, highlighting perspectives that might underlie new types of research questions for scholars to address.
