Zusammenfassung

Ziel ist es, die Merkmale der Unternehmensresilienz sowie deren Zusammenhang mit Emergenz – einer Eigenschaft der Komplexität (besprochen in Kapitel 4) – besser zu verstehen. Dabei wird die Beziehung zwischen Resilienz und Komplexität analysiert. Die Diskussion beinhaltet die Identifizierung der Merkmale einer resilienten Organisation und die Anwendung des Konzepts eines komplexen adaptiven Systems für eine ganzheitliche Bewertung komplexer Probleme, um diese zu adressieren. Die Bewertung der organisatorischen Resilienz und des Risikomanagements kann und sollte darauf ausgerichtet sein, die gefährliche Lücke im Resilienzprofil eines Unternehmens zu schließen. Letztendlich kann Resilienz als eine emergente Eigenschaft betrachtet werden, die sich auf die Fähigkeit eines Systems bezieht, mit hohen Unsicherheitsgraden umzugehen und sich an Black Swan-Bedrohungen anzupassen. Sie ist ein emergenter, adaptiver Prozess.
Es wird ein Unternehmensrisikorahmen angeboten, der sich zur Festlegung der organisatorischen Resilienz als strategisches Ziel eignet, das durch Wettbewerbsvorteil, Geschäftskontinuität sowie Wert für Stakeholder und Aktionäre definiert werden kann.
