Abstract

Plant phenological observations show that plant growth and reproduction obey a certain temporal rhythmicity, which is a macroscopic and integrative reflection of local and regional natural landscape dynamics. The most obvious temporal rhythmicities of plant phenology are displayed as sequential and correlative rhythm, circannual rhythm, multi-year rhythm, circadian rhythm, and overlap rhythm. Temporal rhythmicity of plant phenology is mainly attributed to climatic rhythmicity, photoperiod, and response properties of phenological phenomena to weather and climate.
