Abstract

The Professors of Instructional Design and Technology (PIDT) recently celebrated its 35th year. The meeting of this organization, typically referred to as an “unconference,” offers intimate and informal conversations among faculty on matters that are impacting the field of instructional design and technology. This article discusses the importance and history of PIDT, as well as the common themes that participants discussed throughout the years (based on reports from attendees). Additionally, it highlights the most recent meeting held in 2019 in St. Augustine, Florida.
