This paper introduces the application of wireless sensor networks (WSNs) in the sequence control of chemical water treatment in power plant. To settle the problem caused by packet loss, the controller and plant are treated as two interacting discrete event systems (DESs) described by automaton. And the wireless channel works as a switch between the DESs, denoting packet loss if the switch is off. Then, the analysis of the state transition is carried out and the solution is proposed with the capability of calculation of wireless nodes utilized. At last, the conclusion is presented.
