In this chapter we extend the machine $${\text{JV}}{{\text{M}}_\mathcal{O}}$$ to a JVM submachine JVM _ε which can execute compiled Java _ε programs This includes extending the submachine switchVM _C to switchVM _E which copes with frame stack manipulations due to exception handling. We also extend the $${\text{JV}}{{\text{M}}_\mathcal{O}}$$-to— $${\text{JV}}{{\text{M}}_\mathcal{O}}$$ compilation scheme by translating the new Java _ε statements to JVM _ε code.
