Metalliferous ore deposits of Chile and Argentina are distributed in the Andean domain of both countries, as well as in the Pampean ranges of Argentina, that have also participated in the structural evolution of this domain. Except for some minor deposits, situated in the Pampean ranges, which have a possible Precambrian age, all the mineralization belongs to the Phanerozoic.
