Abstract

The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of the remote synchronous classroom, which is a newly developed and unique blended learning method in the Chinese K-12 education system. The study consists of three main parts: the description and comparison of key synchronous learning, the review of innovative developments and the modern significance of the remote synchronous classroom in China, and key issues that must be addressed to improve implementation of the remote synchronous classroom.
