Abstract

Transgenerational entrepreneurship represents a key element for family business group development, particularly in developed economies where the aim is not to fill institutional voids, but rather to create value as new generations come on board. This chapter sheds light on how next-generation family members engage in entrepreneurial activities that lead to business transformation and so produce diversified and internationalized family business groups. The ways in which new generations of family members deploy resources, define their entrepreneurial orientation, transform family and business values, and adapt and reshape business models appear as key dimensions for business group formation and continuance.
