This paper focuses on UWB radar imaging for stroke detection, in particular caused by hemorrhage. The paper proposes the use of a helmet equipped with antennas emitting UWB pulses. The backscattered signals are processed according to a space-time beamforming algorithm which allows to perform a map of the backscattered energy as a function of location. The paper shows the performance of this algorithm in detecting bleedings in different positions of the head. Moreover, the paper shows that a multistatic approach allows to detect the bleedings with a much lower number of antennas with respect to a monostatic approach.
