Die SEM ist ein hochmoderner Ansatz zum Testen auf vermittelte Beziehungen zwischen Konstrukten oder Variablen, insbesondere wenn mehrere Items gemessen wurden, um eines der fokalen (latenten) Konstrukte zu erfassen.
Angesichts unserer Konzeptualisierung mit einem Wachstumsmodell und mehreren Mediatoren scheint SEM die einzige praktikable Methode zu sein, um dieser Komplexität gerecht zu werden.
