You and Your Autopilot – How Consumers Perceive Semi-autonomous Cars

Conversational (voice) commerce is currently a trending topic. Voice assistants provide a new innovative platform to interact with customers and to market products and services. In this chapter, we explore the rise of conversational commerce and present findings of an exploratory study regarding consumer perceptions of using Amazon’s voice assistant Alexa in Germany. Our findings provide insights for academics and managers how conversational technology can affect the consumer shopping journey.
