Abstract

Food is one of the fundamental pillars of our lives, and that of the elderly as well. In many cases, elderly people do not follow a balanced diet according to their vital needs. Nowadays, there are technological solutions that help in the daily activities of the elderly and indicate which foods they should eat. But all of these solutions require attention and manual registration. Therefore, we propose an application for smartphones that assists in feeding the elderly through the realization of a photograph of their pantry. This application uses Artificial Intelligence techniques such as Machine Learning and Deep Learning.
