A content analysis of ten introduction to programming textbooks

Abstract

A content analysis was conducted on ten introduction to programming textbooks to determine if there were any significant differences in their content. The results of the analysis indicated that the content of the older textbooks, pre 1983, was not significantly different from the more recent texts, post 1985.
