With this issue, we celebrate a milestone in the life of this journal: we have just completed 10 years of uninterrupted publication of scientific work in the areas of cleaner production and scientific sustainability. When we began this journal, the dominant concern was avoidance of pollution in industrial and municipal processes. Sustainability, though it was being discussed in sociopolitical circles, it did not gain much steam in scientific and industrial endeavors. That however has changed completely, and practitioners of all walks of society are very much concerned about sustainability of our products, processes, services, and life styles.
