With the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid, Porsche welcomes the fourth member of the Panamera family. According to Porsche, the plug-in hybrid with fully-controlled four-wheel drive always starts in electric mode and when cruising in all-electric mode, boasts a range of up to 50 km at a maximum speed of 140 km/h. The car delivers overall output of 340 kW and consumes 2.5 l/100 km in the NEDC for plug-in hybrid models. This corresponds to CO₂ emissions of 56 g/km. Besides the electric motor with 100 kW of drive output and torque of 400 Nm, the hybrid also has a 2.9-l V6 biturbo engine; which delivers 243 kW and provides 450 Nm of torque. Porsche emphasises that the hybrid solution not only provides emission-free local driving but also delivers high vehicle performance which is racetrack tried and tested. For example, the electric drive boosts the maximum speed to 278 km/h and delivers torque of 700 Nm from scratch. It only takes 4.6 s to reach 100 km/h. A lithium-ion battery with a power rating of 14.1 kWh supplies the electric motor with energy. Porsche states that the first units in Europe will be delivered from mid-April next year.
