Zusammenfassung

Humanitäre Hilfe und Entwicklungszusammenarbeit finden zunehmend in unsicheren Regionen statt, weshalb Hilfsorganisationen ihre Sicherheitsmaßnahmen verändern. Eine Analyse des deutschen Hilfssektors zeigt einerseits die Etablierung sehr unterschiedlicher Sicherheitsmaßnahmen in den letzten Jahren und andererseits die Beeinflussung der Identität der Hilfsorganisationen durch zunehmende Unsicherheit in den Einsatzgebieten. Der unterschiedliche Umgang mit Sicherheit dient den Organisationen dazu, sich von ihren Konkurrenten abzusetzen.
