A new sandstone type uranium metallo- genetic type — “structure — oil, gas type” is recommended and its regional setting, structure features, metallogenetic environment, uranium mineralization characteristics, and genesis are elaborated in this paper. The new sandstone type uranium metallogenetic type — “structure-oil, gas type” is different from traditional interlayer oxida-tion zone type uranium deposits, emphasizing on regional penetrating fault and oil and gas which play an important role in uranium mineralization. It is useful for uranium reconnaissance and exploration.
