Abstract
In recent years, based on the fact that more and more companies hiring executives who have experience of finance as CEO, this paper selects data from listing corporation in Shanghai and Shenzhen stock market from 2000 to 2011 years as the sample. Judging by the company performance, this paper discusses the effect on firm performance when the CEO who has finance experience is promoted. Through quantitative analysis of financial indicators including share price, Earning Per Share and so on, as well as the analysis of typical company case, we conclude that, according to the indicators such as operating income growth rate, profit rate of asset, operation index and total asset turnover ratio and others, the results indicate that if the CEO is from CFO, its index is better than that by other position to CEO.
