Abstract

There is agreed-upon urgency to reform education around the world but there is wide disagreement in what actions are needed. Most of the popular reforms in the United States since A Nation at Risk have focused on fixing the past, which I argue in this essay are misguided. These strategies are simply doing the wrong thing more right. To address the challenges brought about by globalization and technological changes, we need a new education paradigm.
