Abstract
The chapter investigates the pattern of land use transformation and water security in cities from the global north and the global south. The study considers Toronto and National Capital Territory Delhi (NCT Delhi) to investigate the approach and pattern of urban water management to meet the water demand with the changing land use transformation and built form intensification. The chapter also recognises the different contexts and challenges experienced by the cities of the two hemispheres. The motivation for the study comes with the global recognition of water as a crucial resource for human sustenance and the opportunity to learn between the global north and south through a case study approach.
