Abstract

This chapter is dedicated to modelling approaches for Tesla turbines. Initially, the main analytical approaches applicable to Tesla turbine rotors are recalled. Then, the approach to numerical analysis of Tesla turbine rotor only as well as stator and rotor assembly are discussed, presenting practical examples on specific geometries. Finally, a design method is proposed for the main Tesla turbine components, such as rotor, stator, exit diffuser.
