Zusammenfassung

Seit frühester Zeit sind wir Menschen im Dialog mit unserer Umwelt. Bereits der Philosoph Leibnitz (1646–1716) hat den Raum als einen relationalen Ort definiert und sich mit dem Verhältnis aus Raum, Form und Struktur beschäftigt. Der Schweizer Psychiater Ludwig Binswanger hat in den 1950er Jahren mit einer psychologischen Sichtweise beigetragen, als er sich mit der Psychopathologie von Räumen und deren Wirkung auf das „Gemüt“ beschäftigte.
