This timely book focusses on the risk of losses arising from selling insurance contracts. It offers the reader a thorough overview of the theory and practice of how to price insurance risk, ‘the last mile of underwriting’. Pricing insurance risk is a topic of great concern mainly to actuaries, but the book is definitely relevant for a broader audience, including risk managers and other professionals working on modelling, valuating and/or pricing non-hedgeable risk.
