Abstract—

The proposed concept of cognitive compromises, which was developed by the author, is among the basic constructs on which the new scientific direction of cognitive informatics. The author introduces the concept of the scientific paradoxicality, considering it to be a factor inherent in any scientific construction that is at the same time a condition for their further development. The author formulates the principle of the incompleteness of laws, which generates the need to follow the path of inevitable cognitive compromises that allow one to avoid stagnation and ideological uncertainty in scientific research. As examples of the proposed new method of analysis, mental models are presented that use the cognitive aspect of the Observer.
