In den letzten 20 Jahren wurde eine Vielzahl an Technologien entwickelt, die zum Einsatz im Fußball geeignet sind. Von Pulsmessgeräten über Lichtschrankensysteme und Videoanalysetools bis hin zu (operativ und finanziell) aufwendigen Positionserfassungssystemen – alle kommen mittlerweile im Fußball sowohl im Training als auch im Wettkampf zum Einsatz.
