Due to increasing comfort requirements, the number of electromechanically operated systems in vehicles constantly increases. For example, electrically operated window regulators and lock release systems are becoming a standard also in vehicles of the small and middle class. The resulting increase of vehicle weight and fuel consumption lead to a particular importance of the efficiency of such drive units, especially for electric mobility. The University of Applied Sciences (UAS) South Westphalia developed a modular and highly flexible test concept for small gearboxes in order to optimize testing setup and experimental procedure. …
