Zusammenfassung

Kapitel 1 dient der Einführung in die Thematik des Corporate Entrepreneurship. Im Folgenden wird in Abschn. 1.1 zunächst dargelegt, welche Veränderungen in vielen Industrien zu der Notwendigkeit geführt haben, existierende Management-Ansätze zu überdenken. Abschnitt 1.1 legt die definitorischen Grundlagen zum Thema, grenzt den Begriff des Corporate Entrepreneurship vom Start-up-Entrepreneurship ab und zeigt, wie Corporate Entrepreneurship Unternehmen hilft, in veränderten Umfeldern, die in Abschn. 1.1 dargestellt wurden, zu überleben. Abschnitt 1.3 stellt dar, welche Hürden Führungskräfte in ihren Unternehmen sehen, die verhindern, dass Corporate Entrepreneurship etabliert werden kann, und zeigt die Bedeutung von Managementaktivitäten zur Förderung von Corporate Entrepreneurship auf. Insbesondere stellt dieser Abschnitt heraus, dass diese Hürden überwiegend interner Natur sind und Corporate Entrepreneurship somit ein durch Management steuerbares Phänomen darstellt. Abschließend zeigt Abschn. 1.4 den weiteren Aufbau des vorliegenden Buchs.
