The operating and display protocol (BAP) of the Volkswagen Group standardises communication between Electronic Control Units (ECU). The technical realisation of the protocol was originally carried out by Xcc Software GmbH, a subsidiary of the Dutch company ICT Automatisering N.V. As the supplier of the BAP kernel, ICT Software is developing the only implementation of the BAP stack. BAP facilitates the modular system and a standardisation strategy. …
