Abstract

The Hidden Champions are characterized by high employee motivation and loyalty. The leaders show total identification with the mission, focused determination, courage, perseverance, and the ability to inspire their teams. Employee qualification and talent acquisition are major challenges. The Hidden Champions have to catch up in terms of diversity and inclusion. The mission-oriented leadership system is a pronounced strength of the Hidden Champions and must be retained despite their increasing size.
