Energy saving control strategy of servo drives with asynchronous motor

Abstract

Document describes reduction in energy consumption of servo drive with induction motor which depends on size and character of the load. Position control strategy is designed using optimal control theory and for minimization of energy expenditures considers the copper and mechanical losses. Designed algorithm functionality is verified by simulations and experimentally in good agreement with theoretical predictions.
