Zusammenfassung

Im vorliegenden Beitrag wird geprüft, inwieweit das Konzept des ‚erfolgreichen Alterns‘ für die Gruppe der Hochaltrigen angewendet werden kann. Es werden sowohl Potenziale als auch Limitationen bei der Übertragung des Konzepts auf über 80-Jährige diskutiert. Ziel ist es, konzeptuell notwendige Anpassungen auf der Grundlage empirischer Befunde der Hochaltrigenstudie NRW80+ darzustellen.
