Abstract—

The problem of one-dimensional intense evaporation waves is considered. It concerns with unsteady instantaneous expansion of overheated material vapors into a vacuum or a low-density medium from a plate, a cylinder, or a sphere, whereupon constant (“sonic”) boundary conditions are imposed on the surfaces of these bodies.
