Abstract

In this chapter, Bridget Cooper recalls her own feminism as she grew up, gained education and employment during the 1970s. She focuses on the role education played at that time, and how Spare Rib reflected this, and postulates that although women’s education is now more flexible and achievable, there is still a way to go before it is universally accepted as being of equal value to that of men.
