1. Identifizierung und Überwindung von Barrieren für die Umsetzung einer nachhaltigen Entwicklung an Universitäten: von Studienplänen bis zur Forschung

Zusammenfassung

Obwohl es in den vergangenen 15 Jahren nachweisbare Fortschritte auf dem Gebiet der Hochschulbildung für nachhaltige Entwicklung gegeben hat, sind noch immer zahlreiche Herausforderungen zu überwinden. Zu erwähnen ist hier eine bessere Integration der Nachhaltigkeit in den Studienplan, die Forschung und vor allem ganzheitlich in ihre Systeme. In diesem wissenschaftlichen Artikel werden die wesentlichen Hindernisse für die Einbeziehung einer nachhaltigen Entwicklung an Universitäten analysiert. Er informiert über eine empirische Studie, die weltweit an Universitäten durchgeführt wurde, bei der einige der wichtigsten Barrieren ermittelt wurden. Es empfiehlt sich, diese Barrieren nicht nur als Hindernisse, sondern gleichzeitig als unternehmerische Chancen zu betrachten und entsprechend anzugehen.
