Abstract

Internet of Things (IoT) connects various nonliving objects through the internet and enables them to share information with their community network to automate processes for humans and make their lives easier. The use of IoT is increasing between businesses and individuals. Businesses are currently increasing their investment in IoT for use in the coming years. This chapter presents the challenges of IoT and solutions. The usage of IoT is growing in marketing, given the vast benefits that IoT offers. For businesses to fully use IoT and realize its benefits, the companies will need to change their business processes. However, businesses will need to overcome three major challenges: security, privacy, and network challenges.
