Abstract

This chapter describes the development flow of IIoT-based solution for automating process workflows in manufacturing or process industry. The chapter also deals with an approach to monitor workflow automation in these companies which are the main objective of Industry 4.0. The supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) architecture for IIoT-based automation is dealt with in detail by defining the industry automation solution from the requirements is addressed in detail.
