Abstract
Contaminated land regimes have been properly developed in the US, UK and many other jurisdictions for decades. China may learn from those jurisdictions considering it is experiencing increased land contamination in recent years. This chapter provides some basic background information for the topic that how China could learn from the US and UK with respective contaminated land legislation. It sets out the structure of the book by demonstrating the justification of the research, literature review, research objectives, research questions etc.
