Abstract

This essay attempts to outline some essential features of Atanassov’s intuitionistic fuzzy logic within the framework of the philosophy of science. In particular, it aims to highlight the brilliance of Atanassov’s conceptual and symbolic originality. It also illustrates the danger of the univocal caricaturing of scientific terminology.
