Abstract

The article delves into the optimization of MIMO dual-hop relay systems in delay spread channels, focusing on the use of joint linear precoder and decoder. It introduces two distinct schemes—Scheme 1 and Scheme 2—with different relay configurations, aiming to balance complexity and efficiency. The performance of these schemes is rigorously analyzed under both perfect and imperfect channel state information (CSI) conditions. The study highlights the trade-offs between system complexity and performance, emphasizing the importance of accurate CSI estimation. The novelty lies in the combined use of precoders and decoders in a MIMO relay system, which has been shown to enhance performance significantly. The article provides valuable insights into the design and optimization of wireless communication systems operating in challenging environments.
