Zusammenfassung

Dieses Kapitel gibt einerseits eine Übersicht über die natürlichen Klimaschwankungen der letzten 700000 Jahre bis hin in die geschichtliche Zeit. Weiterhin werden grundlegende Konzepte und Größen eingeführt, mit denen sich aktuelle und zukünftige Klimaänderungen beschreiben und quantifizieren lassen. Im letzten Teil des Kapitels werden Klimamodelle behandelt und die damit gewonnenen Prognosen diskutiert.
