The most direct possible response of the wheel brakes not only provides an increase in driving comfort through direct haptic feedback to the driver, but also leads to a shortening of the stopping distance. Thus, the responsiveness of wheel brakes is an essential feature of driving safety and thus remains an essential part of the global goal of reducing the number of traffic accidents in Vision Zero [1].
