Coherent requirements are an absolute precondition for the implementation of efficient and effective business processes. Requirements as stated by a particular enterprise will frequently be incomplete and inconsistent. This contribution will demonstrate, how such required preconditions could be improved by employing a process model based on subjects und business objects. Thus, the suggested improvements to the respective business processes are not simply limited to a technological or an automation-oriented approach. The strength of this concept is shown using managing absences of employees as an example.
