In seamless interaction with semiconductor components, software is a key driver of automotive innovation. At the same time, it gives rise to many of the problems that OEMs face these days. Jeremy Flann, vice president of EMEA, Green Hills Software, explains the changing role of software companies and what he believes will drive the automotive industry.
Jeremy Flann has a degree in physics from the University of Nottingham and an MBA from the Cranfield School of Management. He held various management positions in the semiconductor industry, notably at Intersil at the beginning of the Wi-Fi era, IP licensing at Mips technologies, and since 2008 he has served as the Vice President EMEA for Green Hills Software. This role includes management of all the commercial and technical activities of Green Hills Software in EMEA, including the worldwide centre of competence for automotive functional safety in the Netherlands.
