Zusammenfassung

Das vierte Kapitel befasst sich abschließend mit deskriptiv-wissenschaftlichen Erkenntnissen zum moralischen Urteilen, Entscheiden und Handeln. Hierfür wird zunächst kurz erklärt, warum ein verhaltensorientiertes Forschungsprogramm für die Wirtschafts- und Unternehmensethik sinnvoll ist und welchen Stellenwert die Forschungsmethode des Experiments darin hat. Hierauf aufbauend wird ein Überblick über die einzelnen Phasen einer moralischen Handlung, angefangen von der Wahrnehmung eines moralischen Problems bis hin zur moralischen Lernphase, gegeben. Daran anschließend werden sodann Theorien thematisiert, die erklären wie moralische Urteile entstehen und welche Rolle der Selbstwerts- sowie die Selbstkontrolle als Ursache für moralische Entscheidungen einnehmen. In Abgrenzung zur prozessualen Betrachtung der moralischen Entscheidung wird abschließend auf empirische Befunde eingegangen, die sich mit den inhaltlichen, moralischen Präferenzen von Menschen auseinandersetzen.
